General Litigation / BusinessLitigation
is work in preparation for Court and appearances at Court and involves Courts
from the Local Court level to the High Court. The procedures in each court
differ although attempts are being made to introduce national Rules of Court.
The average person finds going to Court very stressful and it is often
expensive but lawyers tend to specialise between litigators and non court
based practices. As well as the numerous Courts which operate at the state or
national level there are numerous specialist tribunals such as the Workers
Compensation Commission and the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. The
specific role of solicitors involved in litigation is to prepare cases for
preparation for Court. This involves interviews with clients, correspondence
and often Court documentation. Solicitors have the right of appearance before
all courts in Australia but very often this task is left to Barristers who
are specialist advocates who are often involved in advising solicitors and clients
in preparation for Court or upon various legal problems. Litigation
is not as you see it on television but to assist you we at Malouf Solicitors
have a number of specialist litigators. Anthony Malouf is always pleased to provide
personal expertise in these matters whether they be simple or complex. His
aim is to provide peace of mind and expert legal advice, don't hesitate to
